Today was a day of deep family lore and biological marvels. We explored the fuzzy line between children and their favorite animals.
The Animal Hybrids
We started the morning by transforming the boys. Sebi became Rinocebastian, a powerful yet cuddly rhino-boy hybrid.
Not to be outdone, Alessandro merged with an elephant to become Alefante.
The Legend of Kennet
But the most significant discovery was the origin story of Kennet, the imaginary 5th member of the family. Kennet is a stuffed koala, bought by Riccardo at the hospital when Alessandro was born. The family legend says Kennet was “born from Kate’s belly” and is actually Alessandro’s older brother. Since he’s a stuffed animal, he has the ultimate superpower: he never grows old.
Pizza and Reflection
The day took a culinary turn at lunch with a “guilty” pizza session. Riccardo’s internal struggle was real, captured in what he calls “Anima al Diavolo.”
We ended the day with a beautiful Pixar-style family portrait, a perfect snapshot of this chaotic, wonderful team.
The Pineapple Blasphemy
We must also document the moment Riccardo decided to challenge his Italian heritage by eating pizza with pineapple. The “Anima al Diavolo” wasn’t just about the calories; it was about the guilt of the pineapple.
